ADAM ROBL + SHAWN SUTTA

Adam Robl and Shawn Sutta, multi-instrumentalists with a shared lifelong passion for music, have been working together since 2005. Using anything from full orchestras to soundscapes crafted from a variety of unconventional instruments, the duo combines their obsession with the process of composing and recording music with their passion for the art of filmmaking.

Their first collaboration on a feature film score was for ‘Uncle John’ (directed by Steven Piet), premiered at SXSW in 2015. Later, the film was released in theaters and then on Netflix, the soundtrack was released by Lakeshore Records. Since then, they have Composed music for a diverse mix of films, including ‘Poser’ (Directed by Noah Dixon and Ori Segev, premiered at Tribeca 2021, theatrically released and streaming on Showtime) ‘Before The Fire’ (directed by Charlie Buhler, Streaming on Showtime), ‘Late Life” (Directed by Frank Chen, available on Netflix), and ‘Grasshoppers’ (Directed by Brad Bischoff, released on Apple TV 2023).

Robl and Sutta are known for their range, passionate collaboration, and skills creating music with a broad palette of sounds and styles that enhance visual stories and bring a director’s vision to life. The team has created scores for films and episodic series showcased in theaters, HBO, Showtime, Netflix, Hulu and in festivals all over the world including Sundance, Berlin, SXSW, and Tribeca.
